Polarized radio emission has been mapped with great detail in many Galactic supernova remnants (SNRs), but has not yet been exploited to the extent it deserves. We have developed a method to model polarization maps for SNRs. It consists in the magnetohydrodynamic modelling, in the kinetic description of the accelerated particles as well as of the generation and dissipation of the turbulent component of magnetic field. In the talk, I will give a general review on cosmic rays in SNRs and present the prospects the polarized emission from SNRs may open in this field.

I will start with presentation of basic information about cosmic Gamma-ray Burst (GRB) phenomenon.

 Then our study of the distribution of temporal power-law decay indices, α, in the GRB afterglow phase

 will be described, based on a sample of 176 GRBs with known redshifts. In this analysis we discovered a convincing regular trend between α and the afterglow luminosity at the end time of the plateau phase, Lα . W swoim wystąpieniu chciałbym opisać proces nazywany kilonowa (od przewidywanej jasności optycznej porównywalnej z tysiącem nowych). Proces ten został przewidziany przez Paczyńskiego i Li. Może on towarzyszyć zlaniu się układu podwójnego dwóch gwiazd neutronowych lub gwiazdy neutronowej i czarnej dziury. W obu tych przypadkach oprócz emisji optycznej zachodzi też emisja fal grawitacyjnych.
