Streszczenie:
In the talk I will outline some of our group's research in pure and applied science and the links between the two. In particular I will focus on our recent work indicating the existence of a multiquark state and its impact on neutron star physics. The methodologies employed and the resulting spin-offs in medical and applied physics will be outlined.
