Streszczenie:

Gadolinium is relatively simple magnetic system in which no non-collinearity of the magnetic structure has to be considered. However, it is surprising that so far any attempts to describe Fermi surface topology has led to ambiguous results.

In my talk the main properties of electronic and magnetic structure of gadolinium crystal will be discussed on the base of information which is included in spin density distribution in the real space and momentum density distribution in the reciprocal space. Only these two distributions together bear complete information about the system and allow to compare theoretical results with experimental ones, obtained with different techniques.
