Radiation protection officer

NCBJ is inviting university graduates to apply for a job of radiation protection officer in the MARIA research reactor operated in Otwock-Świerk (30 km away Warsaw downtown). Two vacancies are available.

Requirements:

  • MSc university degree in physics/chemistry/electric engineering/electronics/mechanical engineering/computer sciences
  • computer literacy.

Additional assets:

  • command of English
  • knowledge of autonomous and computer-controlled measurement systems
  • knowledge of measurement techniques
  • reliability, trustworthiness, communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • to asses radiation level within the MARIA reactor hall on the on-going basis
  • to monitor traffic of radioactive sources/waste and to check related exposition/radiation hazard for people/environment
  • to conduct analyses of the data acquired by measurement systems.
