The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of Professor of the Institute at the Department of Nuclear Techniques and Equipment based in Otwock / Świerk.

Department activities:

The Department conducts scientific research on techniques and equipment used in nuclear and X-ray physics, high-temperature plasma diagnostics, industry, medicine and others. The electronic systems dedicated to nuclear apparatus are also designed and developed in the department. The department develops the control and imaging software used in the measuring devices for basic and applied research and for industry. Researchers from the department collaborate with many domestic and international institutions, among others from France, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, USA, Russia and China.

Requirements: 

  • diploma confirming a doctor habilitatus (D.Sc) degree in physical sciences, 
  • scientific achievements in the field of atomic physics, confirmed by international publications, 
  • experience in research on ion-atom interaction,
  • experience in research based on the high-resolution x-ray spectroscopy, 
  • experience in acquiring and managing research projects, team management, team organization skills, work experience in international environment, 
  • good command of English in speech and writing, desirable knowledge of other languages
