TEAM/TEAM-TECH/ TEAM-TECH Core Facility/TEAM-TECH Core Facility PLUS calls for proposals

Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has announced subsequent calls for proposals within the framework of the TEAM/TEAM-TECH/TEAM-TECH Core Facility programmes, and has launched a new programme: TEAM-TECH Core Facility PLUS. Combined budget of all these programmes is 95 million PLN. Application submission deadline is June 20, 2017.

The TEAM programme is offering grants each of around 3.5 million PLN to teams led by outstanding scientists recognized all over the world with truly original scientific achievements. Grants are intended for R&D projects that would contribute to solving global scientific problems and/or tackle major challenges that contemporary societies are facing. Subjects of the projects should be compatible with National Smart Specialisation Strategies. Outcomes of the projects should impact socio-economic development of the nation. A foreign scientific partner in the project is mandatory. Projects may be accomplished not only by research institutions, but also by commercial companies and science/industry consortia. Grants are normally awarded for 3 years, however each grant may be extended for up to another 2 years.

The TEAM-TECH programme is targeted at commercial companies (including start-ups) interested in R&D projects, and at research institutions interested to accomplish some R&D projects cooperation with business community or to intensify such a cooperation. The programme is offering grants each of around 3.5 million PLN to assist the best research teams conducting R&D works on some product/technology/process of a strong impact on the national economy. Outstanding scientists having in their record successes in implementing research results in practice may apply. Projects may be accomplished by research institutions, companies, and/or science/industry consortia, including mandatory business partnership (research institutions) or scientific partnership (commercial enterprises).

Objectives of the TEAM-TECH Core Facility and TEAM-TECH Core Facility PLUS programmes is to assist research teams realizing R&D projects related to development/marker implementation of research services for business/research customers. The former programme is offering grants each of around 3.5 million PLN for projects accomplished up to 36 months. The latter programme is offering grants each of around 1.5 million PLN for projects accomplished up to 18 months. PhD degree holders with record of successful research or implementation activities may apply. Projects may be accomplished by research institutions or companies.

All programmes are open for applicants from both Poland and abroad, regardless of their nationality. Application submission deadline is June 20, 2017, 4 pm local time. No paperwork is required, only on-line applications are accepted.

Next call for proposals in these programmes is scheduled for November 2017.
