Abstract:
Dust is itself a contributing factor to many forms of feedback processes in the Universe, for example in galaxy evolution. It regulates the energy reservoir of galaxies and can be related to episodic periods of activity of their central black holes. The connection between dust and AGN activity as well as the role of dust in regulating star formation are both not fully understood. It is with this broad context in mind that we pursue the inspection of cosmic dust in several selected systems, using a slew of instruments providing good-quality data across a broad range of the electromagnetic spectrum.
