NCBJ Świerk Computer Centre (CIS) is operating HPC (High Performance Cluster), one of the largest computer clusters in Poland. HPC main objectives include to support MARIA (the sole nuclear research reactor operated in the country), to design state-of-the-art radiopharmaceuticals, to analyse experimental data acquired in experiments run at Large Hadron Collider in CERN (Geneva).

The Centre is inviting computer science specialists to apply for a job of Web application/API interface programmer. Special emphasis will be put on security, reliability, and innovativeness of the applications.

The cluster is located in Świerk. NCBJ offers free-of-charge bus transport from Warsaw, Otwock, and Garwolin.

Detailed requirements:

  • good knowledge of Python
  • good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • professional experience with Linux operating systems
  • knowledge of SQL
  • conscientiousness, involvement, work organization skills.

Additional assets:

  • familiarity with code repositories (e.g. GIT, SVN)
  • familiarity with Node.js/Angular environments
  • familiarity with Django environment
  • familiarity with Doc­ker containers
  • familiarity with An­si­ble/Pup­pet orchestration tools.
