NOMATEN Center of Excellence is now in its initial stages and it is formed through a partnership between NCBJ (Poland), CEA (France) and VTT (Finland) with 7 years of joint financial support from the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and the European Commission. NOMATEN focuses on the studies and development of novel materials, specifically those designed to work under harsh conditions – radiation, high temperatures and corrosive environments being primary examples.

Location:

Short description of tasks:
- Prepare TEM specimens
- Perform TEM analysis, specifically high resolution investigations via STEM, EDS, EELS (he needs to confirm if they can work in HR mode)
- Design, execute and optimize microscopy experiments
- Report results for short term and long term evaluations
- Communicate with all members of the CoE
- Cooperate in preparing publications
Requirements:
- PhD in material science
- Good working knowledge about TEM theory
- Strong communication skills
- Proven experience in studying ion irradiated materials like: steels, HEA, ceramic materials etc.

The National Centre for Nuclear Research is awarded by “HR Excellence in Research”.
