The National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) is one of the bigest research institutes in Poland. Wide research activity takes place at NCBJ, especially basic research in nuclear physics and related fields, reactor research and development of nuclear fuel, safety of nuclear installations and many others.

with good  knowledge of the applications of
Probabilistic Safety Assesment
applied to nuclear reactors

Workplace: Otwock - Świerk (Poland) - in the outskirts of Warsaw with daily transport services provided

The aim is to develop a fault trees in case of the occurence of external events in PSA LVL1 and to apply this methodology for the needs of the following two projects:

• NARSIS project: "New Approach to Reactor Safety ImprovementS", Grant Agreement: 755439: for the III generation nuclear reactor representative of the European fleet. 
• Gospostrateg-HTR: "Preparation of legal, organizational and technical instruments for the implementation of the HTR reactors": in the framework of the licencing process of HTRG, exemplifying for the research reactor.

Subject of the work:

Development of integrated fault trees for accidents related to the occurence of external events for Probabilistic Safety Assesment Level 1
The work will be supervised by dr Sławomir Potempski in the Centre of Hazard Analysis MANHAZ.

Date of work execution: September, 30th, 2021

Documents required:

CV, including information about experiences related to the subject of the work, in particular performed Probabilistic Safety Assesment and knowledge of relevant software.

Area of activities Centre of Hazard Analysis MANHAZ:
Risk analyses related to nuclear and chemical installations, transportation of dangerous substances by road, rail, water or industrial pipelines.
