Profile of NCBJ, one of the largest research institutes in Poland where the sole in Poland nuclear research reactor is operated, includes fundamental research in nuclear physics & related sciences, research on nuclear reactors & fuel, research on safety of nuclear facilities etc. Currently NCBJ is recruiting college graduates in physics/electronics/electric engineering/mechanics or similar for a job of specialist in its Material Research Laboratory. Job location: Świerk near Otwock (30 km away downtown Warsaw).
Responsibilities
• hardness measurements (Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell methods)
• impact tests (Charpy)
• tensile static tests
• fracture mechanics tests (KIC, da/dN, JIC, CTOD)
• small punch tests (SPT)
• design and construction of equipment for reactor tests
• sample processing.
Requirements
• college graduate in physics/electronics/mechanics/ or similar
• basic computer literacy
• good command of English
• familiarity with measurement techniques
• personal diligence/responsibility
• communication skills.
