Senior Specialist (WPENS)

Tha Laboratory for Nuclear Energy and Environmental Analyses of the National Centre for Nuclear Research will employ on the basis of the contract for work an student with good knowledge of the applications of Probabilistic Safety Assesment.

The aim is to develop a methodology for external events in PSA LVL1 and to apply this methodology for the needs of the WPENS project: "Early Neutron Source Definition and Design", Grant Agreement: 633053. 

Subject of the work: Development of a methodology of external events for Probabilistic Safety Assesment Level 1
The work will be supervised by dr Sławomir Potempski in the Centre of Hazard Analysis MANHAZ.
Area of activities Centre of Hazard Analysis MANHAZ: Risk analyses related to nuclear and chemical installations, transportation of dangerous substances by road, rail, water or industrial pipelines.

Date of work execution: 01.08.2020 - 30.09.2020

Task:

• Development of a methodology of external events for Probabilistic Safety Assesment Level 1.
• Application of the developed methodology in the WPENS project.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the applications of Probabilistic Safety Assesment.
• Good knowledge of the risk analysis.
• Good knowledge of the of basic statistical methods.
• Good knowledge of English.

Additional assets:

• Knowledge of SAPHIRE or similar (equivalent).

Documents: 

• CV, including information about experiences related to the subject of the work, in particular performed Probabilistic Safety Assesment and knowledge of relevant software.
