The National Center for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of

Professor
at the Radioisotope Centre POLATOM 

Localization: Otwock / Świerk  (Company transport from Warsaw, Otwock, Garwolin  to Świerk and backwards).

Radioisotope Centre POLATOM carries out the research programs on the production  of radioisotopes for medicinal use and on the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine. Thy are based on the radioisotopes produced in nuclear reactors and in accelerators of charged particles. The research field of the employee will be related to the investigations on novel radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use, carried out in the interdisciplinary research environment, to the implementation of novel technologies and to the clinical trials in this field, as well as consultancy on the research projects and expert services in the preparation and evaluation of registration dossier for radiopharmaceuticals and medical materials containing radioactive isotopes, and the scientific support in providing the medical information related to radiopharmaceuticals.

The candidate is expected to:

  • title of the professor in medicine and health sciences in the discipline pharmaceutical sciences
  • not less than 10 years of experience  and significant scientific record in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, in particular in radiopharmacy, and in the field of technologies for production of radioisotopes for medicinal use, including the techniques for radioisotope separation from the irradiated target materials, their purification and analytical characterization, preparation of dossier for novel radiopharmaceuticals as new investigational medicinal products for clinical trials, confirmed by the scientific publication in the journals listed in Journal Citation Reports
  • active participation in scientific conferences in the field of radiopharmacy and nuclear medicine,
  • experience in the implementation of research projects in the field of radiopharmacy,
  • experience in working in international research teams,
  • experience in obtaining external funds for research,
  • very good command of the English language, knowledge of other foreign languages will be an advantage.
