The National Center for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of

Professor
at the Department of Detector Physics and Plasma Diagnostics (TJ3)

Localization: Otwock / Świerk  (Company transport from Warsaw, Otwock, Garwolin  to Świerk and backwards).

Scientific discipline: physics

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in the Act of 30 April 2010 on research institutes (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2018, item 736, as amended).

The candidate is expected to:

  • having the title of professor in the field of physical sciences;
  • significant scientific achievements in the field of plasma physics, confirmed by international publications;
  • extensive knowledge in the area of modeling physical processes in fusion devices such as tokamak or stellarator;
  • experience in modeling Plasma-Wall Interactions and sources of negative ions
  • good knowledge of English in speech and writing, desirable knowledge of another language;
  • experience in managing research projects, managing human resources, teamwork skills;
  • experience in working in international research teams;
  • experience in obtaining external funds to finance research.
