Mechanical Engineer

Profile of NCBJ, one of the largest research institutes in Poland where the sole in Poland nuclear research reactor is operated, includes fundamental research in nuclear physics & related sciences, research on nuclear reactors & fuel, research on safety of nuclear facilities etc. Currently NCBJ is recruiting college graduates in physics/electronics/electric engineering/mechanics/computer science or similar for a job of mechanical engineer in the MARIA Reactor Operations Division. Job location: Świerk near Otwock (30 km away downtown Warsaw).

Responsibilities

•    to supervise current operations of the MARIA reactor
•    to plan maintenance/overhauls and to supervise the works
•    to analyse data acquired by the reactor instrumentation systems
•    to participate in management of the Division’s mechanical workshop.

Requirements

•    college graduate in physics/electronics/electric engineering/mechanics/computer science or similar
•    basic computer literacy
•    good command of English
•    familiarity with measurement techniques
•    personal diligence/responsibility
•    communication skills.
