The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of assistant professor at the Plasma and Ion Technology Division FM2 based in Otwock / Świerk.

Scientific discipline: physics, experimental physics

Apart from the doctor's degree, the candidate is expected to have documented knowledge in the field of solid state physics and experience in the field of atomistic simulation methods using Molecular Dynamics tools. Desirable experience in the of field of X-ray diffraction methods and development of computer codes.

In particular, the candidate is expected to demonstrate:

  • experience in the use of Molecular Dynamics codes, in particular LAMMPS code;
  • experience in development and use of numerical methods in solid state studies;
  • scientific achievements in the field of experimental solid state physics confirmed by publications;
  • experience in working in an international environment;
  • team work skills, readiness to participate in work carried out in international institutions;
  • good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
