An open competition to fill up a vacancy

NCBJ opens up a competition for a position of Assistant Professor in NCBJ Nuclear Methods in Solid State Physics Division (FM1) located in Świerk/Otwock.

 

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in physics or technical sciences
  • experience in practical development of experimental techniques in the field of diffraction and other methods used in solid state research
  • documented scientific output in experimental solid state physics (publications)
  • experience in working in international environments
  • documented knowledge/practical know-how on experimental techniques applied to measure structural properties of materials
  • (international) teamwork skills, readiness to participate in projects accomplished abroad
  • good command of written and spoken English.

 

Additional assets:

  • experience in research with the use of neutrons (in particular neutron scattering)
  • command of German.
