2020.06.22 0:00 - Anna SawińskaThe National Center for Nuclear Research is opening a competition for the position of assistant professor at the Division of Plasma and Ion Technology FM2 based in Otwock/Świerk. The new employee will join a dynamic team working on computer simulations for wide class of solid state materials, especially crystals. The team uses external codes and create own computer programs devoted to analysis of experimental data.
Candidates for the new position are expected to:
- Ph.D. degree in physics;
- be able to program in C ++ and have experience in creating codes in this language;
- be familiar with Linux, and have the ability to use g ++ tools, make, debuggers, etc;
- be familiar with the Monte Carlo method and molecular dynamics methods, especially the LAMMPS program;
- have skills in developing and applying computational methods in solid state research;
- have scientific achievements in the field of experimental solid state physics confirmed by publications.
Desirable traits of the Candidate will be:
- the ability to work in a team, communication skills, regularity, ingenuity,

good command of spoken and written English.
Demonstrating scientific achievements is not necessary, but will be an advantage.
