Post-doc | Astrophysics Division BP4

The National Center for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of post-doc
at the Fundamental Research Department, Astrophysics Division. 

Work location: ul. 28 Pułku Strzelców Kaniowskich 69, Łódź

The successful candidate will work in a team specializing in cosmic ray physics, in particular in a group which participates in JEM-EUSO and associated projects.

Requirements: 

• PhD degree
• Research experience in astrophysics, documented by publications.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written

Additional assets:

• Experience in grant applications.
• Documented experience in data analysis in the area of high energy astrophysics and cosmic ray physics.

We offer:

• The successful candidate is expected to conduct independent scientific activity, with a goal to build a scientific team specialized in scientific data analysis from experiments from EUSO series, and similar prokect. The successful candidate can also co-supervise PhD students and interns.
• Contract for two years, with a possibility of extension.
