Profile of NCBJ, one of the largest research institutes in Poland where the sole in Poland nuclear research reactor is operated, includes fundamental research in nuclear physics & related sciences, research on nuclear reactors & fuel, research on safety of nuclear facilities etc. Currently NCBJ is recruiting secondary school graduates for a job of junior specialist in cybersecurity of industrial control systems (ICS) in its International Scientific Collaboration Division. Job location: Świerk near Otwock (30 km away downtown Warsaw).

Responsibilities

•    to participate in R&D works on ICS cybersecurity
•    to simulate cyber-attacks on ICS within a lab environment
•    to run systems that test ICS cybersecurity  
•    to contribute to development of Cybersecurity Lab.

Requirements

•    secondary level education
•    interest in topics related to security of IT/IoT/OT
•    knowledge of TCP/IP networks and basic network protocols (including DNS, HTTP, SMTP)
•    familiarity with industrial communication protocols including MODBUS, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT
•    basic knowledge of GNU/Linux and Windows operation systems
•    knowledge of the Python programming language
•    good command of English
•    ability to creatively and singlehandedly solve problems
•    ability to learn fast
•    teamwork skills.
