Radiation Protection Officer

Profile of NCBJ, one of the largest research institutes in Poland where the sole in Poland nuclear research reactor is operated, includes fundamental research in nuclear physics & related sciences, research on nuclear reactors & fuel, research on safety of nuclear facilities etc. Currently NCBJ is recruiting a radiation protection officer to its Division of Nuclear Equipment (HITEC). Job location: Świerk near Otwock (30 km away downtown Warsaw).

Responsibilities

•    to measure physical parameters of high energy photon/electron beams
•    to measure/calculate exposition to ionising radiation
•    to work out technical documentation.

Requirements

•    knowledge of radiation protection principles
•    experience in measuring high energy photon/electron beams
•    ability to read technical documentation
•    good command of English (to read technical documentation/standards and to work out technical documentation).

Additional assets

•    familiarity with the MEPHYSTO mc2 dosimetric equipment/system
•     basic knowledge on risk analyses/assessment
