NCBJ Interdisciplinary Division for Energy Analyses invites all persons interested in computer simulations of power systems (including power safety topics) to apply for a two-month long job of an analyst. Job location is Warsaw, near the “Służew” underground station.

NCBJ Interdisciplinary Division for Energy Analyses profile:

  • Planning of power system development
  • Blackout risk evaluation
  • Planning of power unit shutdown schedules
  • Power system optimization and implementation issues.

The successful applicant will be given an opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary research conducted in tight relations with the Polish power business community (companies such as PSE, PSE Innowacje, ENTSO-E, AXA) and/or within the H2020 European programme. Majority of the projects are application-oriented and of significant importance to the society.

 

Requirements:

  • analytical thinking
  • basic knowledge of power system
  • programming skills (preferred languages: Matlab and/or Python)

 

Additional assets:

  • familiarity with principles governing the power markets
  • knowledge of basic technical and economic issues related to functioning of the national power system
  • a student status.

  • remuneration around 2400 PLN gross per month
