Design Engineer

An open competition to fill up a vacancy

NCBJ opens up a competition for a position of Design Engineer in NCBJ Reactor Research & Technologies Division located in Świerk (the Maria research reactor).

Requirements:

• college diploma of some mechanics-oriented faculty (preferably similar to Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology)
• very good knowledge of designer’s software packages (Inventor, AutoCad or the like)
• good command of English
• experience in cooperation with technology department and mechanical workshop.

Additional asset:

• record of work as a designer.

Responsibilities:

• to design equipment necessary to conduct R&D/production activities at the Maria reactor
• to work out equipment construction/upgrade blueprints and to check/verify whether the blueprints comply with the Nuclear Facility Quality Assurance Programme
• to supervise equipment production/commissioning/start-up
• to cooperate with Maria reactor operation teams in all matters related to overhauls/upgrades of the used equipment and in projects to construct new equipment
• to supervise tests and to evaluate test results.
