An open competition to fill up a vacancy
NCBJ opens up a competition for a position of Assistant Professor in NCBJ Material Research Lab located in Świerk. The successful candidate must meet requirements specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Institutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U. 96 pos. 618).
Requirements:
- PhD degree
- documented scientific output in solid state physics / materials engineering
- experience in computer simulations
- familiarity with R&D experimental techniques
- teamwork skills and experience in working in international research teams
- good command of written and spoken English
- good knowledge of the Linux operating system
- computer programming skills (bash scripts, Python, Perl, C/C++, Pascal)
- experience in using software packages written to model physical properties of materials (Synopsys, Comsol Multiphysics, LAMMPS)
Additional assets:
- familiarity with social media
- skills/motivation to popularize science
- experience in work on supercomputers
- command of foreign languages other than English.
