NCBJ opens a competition to fill up a vacancy at a position of Assistant Professor in NCBJ Division of Education and Training located in Świerk. The successful candidate must meet requirements specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Institutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U.  96 pos. 618).

 

Requirements:

  • PhD in physics
  • documented scientific output: at least 2 publications in peer-reviewed international journals
  • at least 1 year spent as a teacher in a high school
  • science popularizing skills
  • ability to easily communicate with high-school students and to work under pressure
  • proficiency in Word and/or TEX, Excel, Power Point.

 

Additional assets

  • familiarity with graphics software packages
  • knowledge of C++ programming language
  • knowledge of the Mathematica software package
  • knowledge of numerical methods in physics.
