NCBJ opens up a competition for a position of Assistant Professor in medical applications of electronics/mathematics/IT in NCBJ Complex System Department (DUZ) located in Świerk. The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in mathematics, physics or technical sciences, and meet other requirements specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Institutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U. 96 pos. 618).

Requirements:

  • PhD in mathematics/physics/technical sciences
  • knowledge of UNIX systems and scripting languages
  • proficiency in using programming languages and high-level analytical tools
  • familiarity with state-of-the-art high-performance computer systems
  • knowledge of techniques of signal reconstruction/imaging
  • knowledge of mathematical techniques used to analyse/reduce data and to simulate random behaviour
  • documented scientific output (publications in international scientific journals, scientific conference presentations)
  • experience in research projects/scientific collaboration (including international collaboration)
  • initiative to undertake new projects and readiness to manage them as Principal Investigator
  • good communication/knowledge transfer skills
  • good command of English.
