NCBJ Department of Complex Systems (DUZ) is inviting computer science specialists to apply for a job in one of the largest computer clusters in Poland (Świerk Computer Centre, CIS). The Cloud platform techniques are among solutions considered as tools capable to improve effectiveness of cluster utilization. Job responsibilities include to plan and to implement such a platform in CIS with special considerations given to versatility of the solution and as effective utilization of current hardware/software resources of the cluster as possible. 

The cluster is located in Świerk. NCBJ offers free-of-charge bus transport from Warsaw, Otwock, and Garwolin.

Detailed requirements:

  • detailed knowledge of IT networks
  • knowledge of all aspects of IT security
  • professional experience as Linux operating system administrator
  • knowledge  tools capable to monitor/analyse network traffic
  • knowledge of Python and bash languages
  • familiarity with the wi­ki sys­tem of documenting the developed software
  • conscientiousness, involvement, work organization skills.

Professional experience with the following tools will be additional asset:

  • virtual machines (e.g. KVM)
  • OpenStack platform
  • Doc­ker containers
  • An­si­ble/Pup­pet orchestration tools.
  • code repositories (e.g. GIT, SVN).
