37th Mazurian Lakes Conference on Physics
2023.08.02 14:02 - udgov_hsThe international 37th Mazurian Lakes Conference on Physics will be held in Piaski, Mazurian Lakes district, from September 3rd to September 9th, 2023. The conference is organized by the University of Warsaw, the National Centre for Nuclear Research and the “Pro Physica” Foundation. The conference has a long history dating back to 1968. Traditionally, the programme have emphasised the links and strong overlaps of interest between nuclear physics and other fields of physics. Another tradition is to maintain a proper balance between the scientific programme and social interactions. The social activities which may be considered as hallmarks of the Mazurian meetings include a chamber music evening concert in the local church and sailing crowned with the regatta.
This year's program covers science topics such as:
• Exotic nuclei and fundamental symmetry tests
• Intersections of nuclear, particle and atomic physics
• Progress in nuclear many-body theory
• Nuclear structure and reactions
• Nuclear astrophysics and nucleosynthesis
• Super-heavy elements and nuclear fission
• New facilities and instrumentation
• Interdisciplinary studies and societal application
